The Holy Apostle Peter, the Rock, in these two magnificent pastoral letters provides inspired counsel to believers who were facing peril and imminent persecution. St. Peter himself would soon be crucified for his faith. These epistles address not just a 1^st century milieu but also a 21^st century one in which many of the same trials face believers. St. Peter reminds believers of their true identity in Christ, the certainty of their glorious future inheritance, the glory of suffering for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord, and the need to defend the faith against heresy and the outbreak of immorality.   Note:  Please forgive a brief change in quality in a portion of the live recording of Lecture 7.
