Patristic Nectar is pleased to present a new six lecture series by Father Josiah entitled The Supremacy of Christ: An Exposition of St. Paul’s Epistle to the Hebrews. The Epistle to the Hebrews was written to 1st century Jewish Christians suffering persecution for their Christian faith. Pressured and tempted to abandon Christ and return to their previous religion St. Paul sets forth the supreme glory of Jesus Christ above the prophets, the angels, Moses, Joshua, Aaron and the entire Old Covenant religious system. St. Paul exhorted these believers, and through them multiple successive generations of Christian believers to not neglect so great a salvation but hold fast to Jesus Christ: the same yesterday, today and forever.
